Synopsis
Returning to Hufang Street, a daughter finds her father's memory fragmenting while the neighbourhood that holds her family's past is transformed. Beneath a man-made canopy of clouds, everyday life takes on an unsettling, dreamlike quality.
As black rain falls and demolition approaches, family stories and uncanny encounters draw her into questions of inheritance, aging, and belonging. This contemporary Chinese novel explores what remains of home when both memory and place begin to disappear.
