Synopsis
Chinese poet Xiangzheng Lu follows memory through landscapes near and far. Rivers, tea, childhood homes, clouds, and dream voices open onto questions of desire, family, history, and return.
The poems travel from the Yellow River Estuary and Sanxingdui to deserts, lakes, Jerusalem, and Angkor Wat, repeatedly returning to the intimate terrain of home. This English-language collection combines cultural memory and image-rich lyric writing, finding expansive meaning within apparently ordinary moments.
